PROFILE - Virginia Jacobs
Trainer
Virginia is based at the Fryers Street Campus in Shepparton and is a Coordinator in the Hospitality unit. Virginia is responsible for training in the Certificate III and Certificate IV in Hospitality Operations courses, overseeing front of house at Covers training restaurant, and running RSA and RSG short courses.
Virginia has extensive hotel and restaurant experience in Sydney, Perisher Valley and Airlie Beach. She has owned and operated catering businesses on the NSW Central Coast and operated Chisholm's dining room at Caves House, Jenolan Caves NSW. Virigina was a hospitality teacher at Bathurst TAFE NSW for 10 years and worked in a hospitality consultancy which included wine education for hospitality enterprises and private groups.
Virginia was trained in Hospitality at Ryde College of Catering and Hotel Management, has a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and is a member of the Australian Sommeliers Association. She was previously involved in promoting regional food and wine through Oberon Food and Wine in the Central Ranges NSW.
